CLASSIC CAR WEEK CLIFF NOTES: Pebble Beach Concours d’ Elegance
Classic Car Week Cliff Notes
~Beautiful Machines~
Recently, a 1910 Rolls Royce Silver Ghost left London. Around the same time, a 1936 Mercedes Roadster left Kuala Lumpur and a 1932 Packard blew out of Buenos Aires. Coincidence? Car buffs know better—they were all going to the same place for the same reason: the Monterey Peninsula for this weekend’s preeminent classic car events. On Thursday, keep an eye out for the neck-snapping scene caused by the 100 or so of those high pedigree roadsters as they cruise the coast as part of the Pebble Beach Tour d’ Elegance. If you miss them, fear not—there are all kinds of opportunities to catch up with the classics today through Sunday. Best part is, each event contributes to local charities.
