Town Trials

Carmel Valley incorporation vote comes before County Supervisors.

Monterey County Supervisors are poised to set a Nov. 3 election for the proposed town of Carmel Valley—but after nearly a decade of trying to put the question to a vote of the people, it's unlikely incorporation supporters are counting any chickens just yet.

County staff has recommended Supervisors, at their Tuesday, June 23 meeting,  adopt a resolution calling for an election to determine if Carmel Valley residents want to incorporate, and—if the majority of them do—to elect a Town Council.

The Board meets at 10:30am June 23 in the Supervisors' Chambers, 168 West Alisal St., Salinas. Can't make the meeting? Watch it online.
