45th Annual Spring Play Festival Fri-Sat 11am-4pm. The Children’s Experimental Theatre presents a festival of plays which includes The Three Sillies (11am and 2pm), The Ghosts of Thorenshield (Noon and 2:30pm), Baucus & Philemon (12:30pm and 3pm), and The Elves & The Shoemaker (4pm). The Outrageous Adventures of Sheldon and Mrs. Levine Opens Fri 8pm; Sat 8pm; Sun 2pm. A 31-year-old son runs away from his overbearing mother. The play is a series of letters between them as each searches desperately to make sense of their relationship. The Mouse That Roared Fri-Sun 8pm; Sun 2pm. Ramie Wikdahl directs this quirky tale of political morality that is both a Cold War satire and a hilarious portrait of international relations from the perspective of the little guy. Facing a financial crisis, the microscopic Duchy of Grand Fenwick, furious about sneaky US business practices, concocts a plan to invade the United States so that they can instantly lose the war and receive US financial aid. $15/general; $12/students. Stupid Is As Stupid Does” or “Only You, Dick Tickle, Only You” Fri-Sat 8pm. A classic melodramatic tale of love, lust and chicken barbecue in the South. Zorba the Greek Fri-Sun 7:30pm. Directed by Rosemary Luke and starring Reg Huston, Zorba tells the story of a young man who finds he has a small inheritance in Crete. When he arrives in Crete to claim it, he meets Zorba, a middle-aged Greek with a real lust for life. The musical is centered on the personal relationship between these two characters, and the way the young man changes his view on life, influenced by Zorba’s day-to-day behavior. $20/adults; $15/students and seniors.
