Sound description: A frequent winner of the Weekly's Best Local Musician title, bassist Dennis Murphy has appeared on over 30 albums including Acoustic Alchemy's Arcanum, which was nominated for a Grammy. Murphy has also played with the Greg Khin Band and toured with Maria Muldaur and Acoustic Alchemy. Murphy started putting out his own music in 1999 with Hit Me Hard, a collection of smooth jazz originals. He also tackled Frank Sinatra and Bobby Darin numbers with his Rediscovery CD.
