Sound description: Punk rockers Hate for State began their rebellious musical odyssey as openers for three punk/metal bands at Viva’s in 2001. None of the band members were 21 at the time. Since then, the band has headlined at the Lava Lounge, The Cherry Bean Coffee House and played the main stage at the 2005 Monterey Rock and Art Festival.
