Sound description: Jazz pianist Marshall Otwell frequently performs with the David Morwood Trio on weekends at the Hyatt Regency Monterey’s Fireplace Lounge. Otwell’s passion for jazz spans nearly half a century and was the reason he flunked out of Princeton University (he spent all his time at New York City jazz clubs). Otwell spent many years performing around the country with jazz icons like Freddie Hubbard and Zoot Sims, but he has been at his best playing the weekly sessions at the Hyatt.
