Edgar’s at Quail Lodge in Carmel Valley celebrates Fathers Day with a barbecue. Enjoy a slow-smoked barbecue family platter with beef tri-tip, barbecue chicken, spicy sausage and chipotle-rubbed king salmon, plus sides like mashed potatoes, sweet corn succotash, macaroni and cheese and garlic bread for $75. (Family platter serves three to four people, individual barbecue meals and sides will also be available a la carte.) 11am-9pm, reservations required, 620-8910.

Hahn Family Wines is firing up the grill for barbecue on the deck of the winery’s estate tasting room in Soledad. Spend the Sunday under the sun with barbecue and wine. 11am-5pm, $25, 678-4555 for reservations.

Bernardus Lodge & Spa has an afternoon of brunch, beer and bocce for dad at Lucia Restaurant & Bar. A grand barbecue buffet offers burgers, free-range chicken and artisan sausages, plus all the fixin's. After brunch, try your hand at bocce and croquet. Noon-2:30pm, $45, $20 children 5-12, 658-3400 for reservations.

Estéban Restaurant inside the Casa Munras Garden Hotel & Spa in Monterey starts Tapas Hour early on Fathers Day from 4-6pm. In honor of dad, Estéban has a special happy hour combo too: Grab a burger, fries and draft beer for $20. 375-0176 for reservations.

Treat dad to something sweet with the special Fathers Day box from Hole Foods Vegan Donuts. Available by special order, the box features a dozen vegan doughnuts for $30, including four churro, four maple bac’n (made with Hole Foods’ own soy-free vegan “bacon”) and four strawberry sprinkle (inspired by Homer’s signature sweet). Place orders by 3pm Thursday, June 13 for pick up at 10am on Saturday, June 15 at The Beerded Bean in Salinas.
