As current California State University, Monterey Bay President Dianne Harrison prepares to assume the presidency of California State University, Northridge, Dr. Eduardo M. Ochoa has been named interim president of CSUMB.

An Argentine native, Ochoa is currently U.S. assistant secretary for postsecondary education with the Obama Administration where he’s served since 2010. Before that Ochoa served as the provost and vice president for academic affairs at Sonoma State University for seven years and spent six years as the dean of Cal Poly Pomona’s College of Business Administration.

July 16 will mark Ochoa’s first day on the job as CSUMB’s new president.
