Like his poems, the Tor House was made thoughtfully, built with stones from the neighboring shore at Carmel Point, and (in part) by the hands of the resident author Robinson Jeffers himself. Both the poetic and personal life of Jeffers expand under the expertise of docents, who lead tours every Friday and Saturday, when the property opens up for public tours. Online reservations are highly recommended; tours begin every hour from 10am-3pm and last about one hour and 15 minutes.
