Sometimes what makes a car cool is not how high of a price it can get at an auction, but how unique it is. The Concours d'Lemons celebrates cars that are unique, unheard of and and undesired by the mainstream. The event has previously included categories like the obscure Soviet-era hatchbacks in "Kommunist Kars" and decaying station wagons in "Rust Belt American Junk". There's pick up trucks modified to be RV's, short lived American cars discontinued due to safety hazards and the obligatory Chrysler PT Cruiser. They're not pretty, but each car and its owner come with the charming character that compels people to attend this free event each year. [IG]
