The celebration of Christ's birth resounds from every corner of Sunset Center as the Monterey Symphony Orchestra and Monterey Symphony Chorus perform the "Hallelujah Chorus" in the first act of Handel's "Messiah." The second half brings darkness as the musicians explore Jesus’ death and beyond. Austrian conductor Christoph Campestrini brings this holiday classic to Carmel. [NC]
