It's that time of year to grab the yule log and join the neighbors on the lawn outside Colton Hall to watch the lighting of the town’s tree. Monterey's own mayor Chuck Della Salla hosts this 41st annual event that has jolly old St' Nick dropping by to share some Christmas cheer. The Monterey Community Band and the Colton School Children's Choir perform classic holiday songs. Warm clothes and candles are recommended. [NC]
