Who says you have to celebrate New Year’s Eve on New Year’s Eve? Get your rap music party on at the Fox Theater with Sleepdank, Yukmouth, Mac Mall, J-Diggs, Mista F.A.B., Dubee, Bavgate, Ryda J. Klyde and—believe it or not—more, with this record release/video throwdown. This line-up filters the grimy streets of the Bay Area through slick studio production and tough rhymes to get heads bobbin’ and feet doing a two-step before you even know you’re dancing. Sleepdank claim “We’re going to bring the West back.” As far as tonight is concerned, it never left. Dress code enforced, so think ahead and don’t trip; if all goes well, Monterey County will see more rap shows.
