Michelle Magdalena has a photograph of two naked women in her premier show in Monterey. It is one of many nudes in the show, which she displays as classic interpretations of the human figure. The exhibit, “Innocent Illusions,” is her first major show since finishing college at Brooks Institute, a well-known art school in California.
Magdalena eloquently fills the frame with classic and iconic portraits and still life shots. All the work was done with black-and-white film with medium and large-format cameras. Join the artist for wine and dancing for an opening reception. Magdalena’s work is up through December. [NC]
