This traveling bazaar rounds up gem dealers, shoppers, collectors, vendors and aficionados into two concentrated days dedicated to the tiny gifts from the earth. One of the oldest gem and jewelry shows on the circuit, the Gem Faire passes through Monterey carrying a wave of gemstones, meteorites, minerals, crystals, lapidary gear and precious stones. Look for workshops on beading, wire-working and other crafts of the trade. [WR]
