In one of 11 stateside appearances--and its West Coast debut in the States--the Leine Roebana dance company from the Netherlands graces the stage of CSUMB's World Theater with Sporan ("path"), a concert-length work. Dance Magazine praises choreography partners Andrea Leine and Harijono Roebana for performing "intriguing movements while striving for beauty." Leine herself describes it this way: "...we dissect the body into its constituent parts, put it back together and invite it to dance." Apt. [WR]
