Tonight the Big Sur Short Film Festival gathers film lovers and is taking 'em to spots they never before hung. The German short film drops in on a man who meets his 6-year-old daughter from a one-night stand. The U.K. introduces us to a pick-pocket who steals because his mother was taken away from him as a child. Australia's entry reexamines the fire-bombing of Dresden from the point-of-view of a bomber crew. And over in Norway, a woman tells the literary tale of how her parents met. [WR]
