After more than a month of performances, the Carmel Bach Festival concludes this weekend with a formal dinner and a concert of audience favorites. Festival fans pay top dollar to attend Saturday's Mid Summer Night’s Feast, which features cooking from the Bernardus Lodge’s Chef Cal Stamenov and wines from the Ryan Ranch Restaurant by being serenaded by festival soloists and the festival youth chorus. After the feast is this season’s last event, the Best of the Fest concert, which features only those pieces and sets that audiences who attended the month’s many concerts cherished most. If a three-figure price tag is a little too spendy in these trying financial times, a more affordable option is the festival’s last regular concert on Friday, Symphonic Bridges, which illustrates the influence Bach had on later composers such as Mozart and Brahms.
