Stephen Colbert says the greatest threat to America is bears; but after watching this triple feature, bears will seem pretty tame. The Golden State Theater gives audiences the ultimate flashback as they chronicle killer animals in movies from 1968-1993 all for the price of one movie. The late, great Charlton Heston is unforgettable in Planet of the Apes, as a lost astronaut that discovers a planet where apes rule and humans are slaves. Following Planet, viewers revive their latent fear of oceans with the horror classic Jaws. And to cap off the night, nothing says fun like watching Seinfeld’s Newman get blinded and eaten by a little dinosaur in Jurassic Park. Bears ain’t got nothin’ on these beasts. [QE]
