Until a time machine is invented, Christmas in the Adobes is the best way to visit the Monterey of yore. Meet an actor portraying the author Robert Louis Stevenson at the Stevenson House. Take in period music and delicious Mexican hot chocolate at Casa Soberanes and 18 other Monterey Historic Park adobes all over town. And look in on an uproarious Spanish dance at the Custom House.
