The City of Monterey officially welcomes in the holiday season with the traditional Christmas Tree Lighting ceremony and reception. Monterey’s Mayor Chuck Della Sala and Santa Clause announce the coming of Christmas and the new year by setting the tree a light with beautiful decorations and décor releasing the spirit of Christmas. Then join the festivities as the celebration continues into Colton Hall where Colton School Chorus perform and duo Jimmy and Mario Mazzuca enlighten the guests with holiday songs like “Silent Night” and others. Guests can take those cute pictures with Santa and enjoy some holiday cookies and apple cider. [SL]
