The Wild Coast Brass Quintet has been a presence in Monterey County for 18 years. With Kevin Jordan and Charles Old on trumpet, Ruth Jordan on horn, Steve Mortensen on trombone, and James Paoletti on tuba, these brass chamber musicians will play the historic Colton Hall in a free concert Wednesday. In the same room where members of the California Constitutional Convention debated for six weeks in 1849 before making the decision to become the 31st state in the Union, the five musicians will perform pieces by Des Pres, Bavrieli, Frescobaldi, Boyce and Ewald, Frackenpohl and Fats Waller. Reservations recommended.
