After auditioning for Eazy-E over the phone, Bone Thugs n Harmony burst out the gate in 1993 with the Eazy-E produced track "Thuggish Ruggish Bone," a street anthem scary and beautiful at the same time. Their collabo with Phil Collins on "Home" crystalizes how their formula of evocative music, lyrics about everyday struggles, and that unmistakable cadence and flow, is still a winning combination after all these years. These platinum-selling, Grammy-winning, bona-fide artists have grown from thuggish proteges into their own Midwest dynasty. Their music mines a similar vein as Tupac did, with emotion shining through the tough exterior: "First we lost Eazy, then we lost 'Pac/ Biggie got killed, when the shit gon' stop?"
