Demonstration of pruning techniques taught by Peter Quintanilla, certified arborist and University of California Master Gardner, at the floral gardens of La Mirada. He will demonstrate on rhododendron, azalea, camellia, Japanese maple and others, as well as instruction on how to restore plants that have been "rounded over" (see Edward Scissorhands). Bring hand shears and gloves for this rain or shine event. Funds go to maintenance of La Mirada gardens.
