Tonight and tomorrow are the last chances to see Ridley Scott's 1982 Blade Runner: Final Cut on the big screen, where it belongs. Harrison Ford stars as Rick Deckard, a special units cop in a 2019 decaying metropolis who hunts down replicants, human-like cyborgs whose innocence is supplanted by their violent struggle to stay alive. All the elements of great filmmaking conspire to immerse the viewer in a world that lives and breathes in the imagination. This "final cut" of the 25-year old film has been rereleased with long-awaited extended scenes, cuts, digital remastering and film transfer-- a definitive version of a masterpiece of the genre.
