Roberto Salas is an Indo-Hispanic educator, a cactus cultivator, a mariachi musician, a world traveler and a bullfight fan. Combine those interests with the fact that he's an internationally exhibited painter and the visual results, seen at PGAC as a part of Beneath the Mask of Cultural Identity, are predictably striking, ranging from the Hooded Catholic orders of Spain and Mexican wrestling costumes to the burned feet of Cuauhtemoc. (Also see art story.) [MCA]
7pm. Pacific Grove Art Center, 568 Lighthouse Ave., Free. 375-2208.
