A year ago, Wednesday nights were the perfect time to bake a batch of double fudge cookies or catch up on bill paying. That has all changed due to an influx of national touring bands who seem to play this area on Wednesday nights. The latest case in point is this gargantuan show that features a band of young 'uns from Washington state called The Shivas, who play groove-oriented garage rock, and Southern California's Thee Makeout Party, a group that feels at home doing both feral garage rock and pop rock. Also, traveling for many miles is the Fullerton low-fi punk band Audacity. Representing the home team are Serpico and The Mystery Lights. [ST]
