Blacklisted: The Art Exhibit at Carl Cherry

As part of the triumvirate of works revolving around the Hollywood Red Scare, HUAC hearings and the Hollywood Blacklist, the Carl Cherry presents Blacklisted: The Exhibit. Comprised of works by local artists (and some prominent pieces by Idaho's Stephanie Wilde), the show explores in paint the same themes as do the ongoing plays and film screenings: the "fear and betrayl" that arose from those years of artistic and political persecution. The opening reception today unveils the work. [WR]
