Jonathan Richman will forever be known for penning the quirky rock song "Roadrunner." Released by his former band The Modern Lovers, "Roadrunner" is an infectious, life affirming number about the simple joy of listening to rock and roll on the radio that rides a nifty Velvet Underground inspired groove. The song has been covered by acts like the Sex Pistols and Joan Jett and proclaimed one of the 500 Greatest Songs of All Time by Rolling Stone Magazine. (See story pg. XX.) [ST]
