The good folks at the popular East Village Coffee Lounge have put together an all-day community-oriented affair with fun all. Festivities start in the lounge with special bakery delights along with their signature organic coffees and spill out onto the friendly plaza with art and craft displays as well as mask-making and chalk art activities for kids. The music starts at 1pm with local artists including Sarah McCoy (bluesy singer/songwriter), folk singer Ander Lucia, Chicago's Americana singer Mike Warren and others. Raffles for East Village and Never on Sunday gift certificates and Duvel beer gift set top off the fun for this first full day of summer fest. [RC]
