The Monterey Jazz Festival's 2008 Artist-in-Residence Christian McBride leads a cavalry of 15 top jazz clinician musicians and 150 Monterey County student musicians in a jazz camp that hones and amps up the students for a series of free concerts where they can unleash their new-found knowledge. A vocal ensemble and big-band concert fill the Steinbeck Forum room of the Monterey Conference Center with big noise and soaring vocals.
