The Carmel Public Library Foundation brings Ann Packer, author of The Dive from Clausen's Pier, to talk about and sign her latest, Songs Without Words, at Sunset Center's Carpenter Hall. Its story of two lifelong friends shaken by crisis was described by the San Francisco Chronicle as "intricately detailed" and "deeply felt."
