Eldridge "Big Cat" Tolefree brings his Hipnotic Blues Band down from Oakland for their debut show at Sly's. Big Cat is an old-time veteran of the Bay Area blues scene and his band serves up a hard drivin', down-home and danceable (after all this IS Sly's) mix of original tunes and dance cover favorites like "Mustang Sally," "Dance to the Music," and even rockers such as The Doors' "Love Me Two Times" and Aerosmith's "Sweet Emotion." The Cat and company will also be playing at the Monterey Blues Festival in June. [RC]
