The Monterey Bay Poetry Consortium presents a reading of works by two local poets. Joanna Martin, of Santa Cruz, is a longtime member of the Emerald Street Poets, produces a Community TV show in Santa Cruz called "Poetry Box" and published the poetry book The Meaning of Wings. Ilia Thompson teaches memoir writing through Monterey Peninsula College and is a charter member of Pebbles, the Thunderbird Bookshop writers group.
