Meals on Wheels of the Monterey Peninsula award Woman of the Year to former MOWMP board member and public television's "Art of Food TV" host Chef Wendy Brodie. The award is given to women who make a positive impact on adult women--especially senior women, who make up two-thirds of MOWMP clients. Brodie has contributed to the Culinary Classique d' Elegance signature fundraising dinner and live auction for the last 12 years. The award is presented by KRON 4 News' famed California journalist Bela Davis, who in 1966 became the first female African-American TV reporter on the West Coast. Need to RSVP by Friday, donations appreciated.
