The Monterey Regional Park District presents a series of nature and history events for kids. On May 22 and 29, "Wild Things" teaches children (8-15) how to sketch and paint wildlife and foliage (3:30-5pm, $15/each class); on Saturday, May 24, "Critter" brings local experts to tell the county's story through art, games, music, and activities (10:30am-noon, $10/child); and, on Sunday, May 25, "Let's Tell Stories" teaches children about Native American tradition and the animals that live in area parks (2-3pm, $10, at Marina Library, 190 Seaside Circle, Marina). Participants must pre-register.
