Playwright, director and Carmel resident Tom Parks holds an impressive array of show business credits in Carmel and Hollywood where he worked for 25 years with many of the brightest stars. Parks is at it again with an entertaining play for all ages, this time a non-musical, called Chums. In the play, ex-lovers Ruth Reddington, a Broadway actress, and screenwriter John Alton meet to catch up after over 40 years of affairs, marriages and freedom; then the past and present collide. Chums, which continues through May 25, marks the 60th year of the Carl Cherry Center's existence as a non-profit. (See Theater story.) [RC]
