After a month long California tour with Sacramento prog rockers Ihabial, local trio Slices of Home realized they needed to change their priorities. The instrumental rock band, which excels at going from atmospheric to hard-riffing in the same song, has decided to cut down their shows to once a month and head in a less structured direction. That means this concert with indie rockers The Shimmies and fellow instrumental rockers Red Giant will be one of the only times to see Slices of Home this summer. [ST]
