Topographies: Christel Dillbohner at Carl Cherry

Veteran artist Christel Dillbohner has created a dizzying body of work that's been shown in her native Germany, Japan, Florida, California and British Columbia. The Monterey Museum of Art scored her last in-county installation, Skimming the Surface; now the Carl Cherry Center shows Topographies. The site-specific installation of paintings, sculpture and assemblage are made from bees wax, charcoal and plant matter.
3-5pm opening reception; 11am-4pm Mon-Fri; 1-4pm Sat. Carl Cherry Center for the Arts, Fourth and Guadalupe, Carmel. Free; donations appreciated. 624-7491. http://carlcherrycenter.org/.
