The most time-honored local Dead tradition still retains a very-alive vigor—and a short-run folkloric performance by Esperanza del Valle, bursting with color and indigenous dance, only amplifies that energy. There's also plenty of traditional and uncoventional-artistic altars, a procession through town and mad snack munching, face painting and sugar skull decorating. [MCA]
