Last year, local motorcycle club The Boozefighters threw a sock-hop and '50s dance party to raise money for little Sadie, who is confined to a wheelchair and in need of constant medical care due to a rare blood disease. It was a rollicking, familiy-friendly celebration of life and good cheer. And it looks like they've assembled all the same elements that made last year's party so much fun: a hearty, buffet-style dinner of roast pork or baked chicken with all the fixins' (donated by Post 694, Dole and Savemart); San Jose rockabilly band Los Hightops cranking up danceable swing and rock; door prizes to salivate over like motorcycle gear, clothes and gift baskets; and legions of other bikers (and their shiny hogs) from motorcycle clubs as far as San Diego. Camaraderie and generosity rarely gets as fun as this. [WR]
6-10pm. American Legion Post 694, 694 Legion Way, Marina. $20/donation. 384-9155.
