The California Coastal Commission invites students from kindergarten to 12th grade to reflect on the beauty and spirit of California's beaches and ocean, then submit art or poetry to the 2009 Poetry and Art Contest. Winning entries receive a $100 gift certificate to an art supply store or book store, along with other wonderful prizes. All entries must be postmarked by Saturday, Jan. 31.
