Most of the bands performing at the Salinas homegrown music festival Trackstock have never needed to purchase a razor. (Excluding, the older, facially hair adorned hard rock band Leaving Ground.) The bill of Salinas next wave of musicians includes kid classic rockers August Sky, mini metal quartet Override, pint sized alt rockers Population 5 and the all girl blues rock outfit The Sledge Grits Band. In addition to the music, festival goers are free to tour the nearby model train museum and the Harvey-Baker House, the home of the first mayor of Salinas. (See story.) [ST]
