Make reading a priority and engage children in important aspects of reading by sharing bound classics with children of Salinas. Help 1st through 6th grade students develop and strengthen reading skills linking every student to success in all aspects of education. Volunteer and contribute one hour of reading time in class rooms sharing a favorite story and advocate the importance of good reading skills. Over 400 teachers at 27 elementary schools are requesting bilingual (Spanish/English) volunteers to help and show one reading session of a good story book helps prepare students for success in the future.
