Emceed by P.G. Poet-in-Residence Garland Thompson, five spoken word artists from Youth Speaks in San Francisco and Salinas' Marc Cabrera of Baktun 12 perform, while local teens are invited to speak thier poetic piece during an open mic that follows. Professional dancer Pamela Keindl then performs an interpretation of two of Thompson's poems, as choreographed by Reed Scott.
