Coming in to the home stretch of the Big Sur International Short Film Festival are four entries hailing from Canada, U.K., Norway and the U.S. Pickled Punk follows a fetus (yes, a fetus) through its "non-life," a 10-year-old girl in Cough Drop accepts a ride from a stranger, two men attempt to swim the English Channel in Two Swimmers, and Lonely Together explores love lost and found. Refreshments are provided, as are sparkling stars and redwood breezes. [WR]
