The city of Monterey provides family-friendly workshops--some ongoing and some one-day--throughout late summer and early fall. You Go Girl gives girls 8-12 an opportunity to work on arts and crafts projects. Kids Kitchen Caper is a cooking workshop for children 7-12. Chess for Kids teaches the ancient strategy game to kindergartens through 6th graders. Other workshops include Beginning Drawing, Immersion in Music, and Eco-Art. Call 646-5665 for pre-registration.
