This past spring, the partially Big Sur based Holiday and the Adventure Pop Collective were on the second day of a big national tour with Atlantic Records act Louis XIV. That evening, without any advance warning, the group's drummer hightailed out of town leaving just vocalist/multi-instrumentalists Derric Oliver and Louis Caverly to decide the band's fate. They decided to press on, but changed their name from the lengthy Holiday and the Adventure Pop Collective to the more economical Los Dos Bros. With their new moniker, the quirky rock group—which employs trumpet, tuba and violin at times—treated audiences across the nation with tracks from 2008's Songs for Feeling Strong, which was recorded at Beach Boy Al Jardine's Red barn Studios.
