Violinist Sitkovetsky was born in Moscow, lives in Britain, and has traveled the world on the "warm tone" of his violin playing as a soloist for prestigious venues and symphonies. Guest conductor, from the Wichita Chamber Orchestra and Wichita Symphony Orchestra, Andrew Sewell--who fills in for Giampaolo Bisanti, who postponed his appearance--takes over the baton for this program that ranges from Nicolo Paganini's Violin Concerto No. 1 in D major Op. 6, to four concert pieces by Giuseppe Martucci, and ends with Tchaikovsky's Capriccio Italien.
