Meet the artists at todays reception. Erika Lizee, of Los Angeles, is a master of bringing heavy images into the realm of a shimmering ghostlike quality. Some of her stuff brings to mind Duchamp's Nude Descending Stairs. Donovan Widmer, a professor of Metal Arts at the University of North Dakota, binds found objects like leather, hair, and quills with sophisticated metalworks. Jody Alexander is a book artist. Her elegant work reminds us of the reminiscence of aging objects. Her tools are paper, books, furniture, thread, and words. Bring four quarters for parking. The exhibit runs until the end of May.[JL]
